Quality Measures
- The Major Field Test in Psychology* is used to monitor psychology graduates’ competency in Memory and Cognition, Perception/Sensation/Physiology, Developmental Psychology, Clinical and Abnormal Assessment, Social Psychology, and Measurement and Methodology.
- Psychology majors complete independent research projects and frequently present their findings at professional conferences such as Southeastern Psychological Association (SEPA). They also present their work locally on the annual Campus Research Day, and may submit their work for publication in the campus Journal of Interdisciplinary Undergraduate Research.
- Psychology majors are strongly encouraged to hold membership in associations and honor societies related to psychology, and are supported in attending at least one professional conference during their time as students. The School of Education and Psychology pays registration and poster costs for students who are making conference presentations. Additionally, the School provides assistance for travel costs.
*The Major Field Tests are a service of Educational Testing Service.
