How to Apply
If you are ready to apply, please visit the ACA website.
If you plan to attend Newbold College, please consult an adviser in the School of Business, the English Department, or the History/Political Science Department.

After you have printed all four pages of your application, you must obtain these signatures in the following order:

- Registrar's Signature
- See Karon Powell, Director of Records and Advisement. If she is unavailable, Lisa Hess is also authorized to sign.
- Chair/Professor of Modern Language Department or Campus ACA Coordinator
- See an adviser and leave a copy of your application in the Modern Languages Department's main office.
- Student Finance Officer and/or Financial Aid Office
- See your finance counselor and leave your completed application there.
Academic Year
- Registrar's Signature

- Academic Dean or Dean of Student Affairs
- See Dennis Negrón, Vice President of Student Development. If he is unavailable, Teri Reutebuch is also authorized to sign.

- See your academic adviser or the dean/chair.
- Director of Admissions
- See Rick Anderson. If he is unavailable, Cindy McBryar, Kent Robertson, Janelle Dietrich, and Arlenny Weddle are also authorized to sign.
- Chair/Professor of Modern Language Department or Campus ACA Coordinator
- See an adviser and leave a copy of your application in the Modern Languages Department's main office.

Further Information about Studying Abroad
Register for ACA-050
After applying to study abroad, students should go to Southern's online course
schedule and register for ACA-050 Adventist Colleges Abroad. The course is a 0-credit-hour
course that allows students to continue enrollment at Southern while abroad.
Placement Exam
ACA students who study Chinese, French, German, Italian, or Spanish abroad must
take a placement exam upon their return to Southern.
Financial Aid for ACA Students
Students should fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
online and consult with Southern Adventist University’s Student Finance office about
the applicability of federal and/or state aid. Southern Adventist University scholarships
and grants are not eligible to be applied to ACA expenses. However, there are scholarships for study abroad available from outside sources.
Apply for a Visa
Visa applications may take up to three months to process. Please plan accordingly.
Check the website of your local consulate for more information. You may also check
