WHAT IS ACA?
Adventist Colleges Abroad (ACA) is a consortium of Seventh-day Adventist colleges
and universities in North America. It operates under the auspices of the Department
of Education of the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists located in Columbia,
Maryland. Southern Adventist University is a member of the consortium.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF STUDYING ABROAD?
Students at Southern Adventist University can earn college credit during an academic
year program or summer session in a foreign country while developing a global perspective
and making memories that will last a lifetime.
WHO SHOULD APPLY?
The programs offered through ACA are designed for undergraduate students at Seventh-day
Adventist colleges within North America. However, graduate students are also welcome
to apply. Often, they are pursuing a major or minor in a modern language, but students
majoring in other areas may also find it personally and professionally rewarding to
study abroad for a summer or an academic year.
Ideally, students are advised to study abroad during the sophomore year of college. Applicants should have competency in the second language at the intermediate level, but those who have made superior progress during two years of secondary or one year of college language study may be admitted. Students must obtain academic advisement from the appropriate major department and the Modern Languages Department before applying to study abroad.
