B.A. Journalism

As a prospective writer and journalist, you will go through a specialized liberal
arts educational journey. Wide-ranging interests and curiosity, along with the ability
to write clearly and concisely under the pressure of a deadline, are prerequisites
for your success. As part of this program, you will experience being a part of the
Southern Adventist University newspaper staff as well as producing a newscast and
participating in amazing internships.
Often, a journalist becomes particularly well-informed in a specialized area like business, sociology, science, religion, education, health, art, government, or consumer affairs. Choosing a minor in one of these areas could be of great benefit for a successful reporting/writing career.
After completing this amazing program and developing great oral and writing skills, you will be capable of working in different journalism and communication positions, such as:
