Computers & Software
Thirty computer stations are available for students, faculty, and staff use. Sixteen
of them are available near the front desk for community guests. Fifteen laptops are
available for students and faculty to borrow from the circulation desk. Laptops are
for in library use only and maybe checked out for up to four hours.
Desktop Computers
Thirty desktop computer stations are available for students, faculty, and staff. The
sixteen stations near the circulation desk are available for use by community guests.

- Microsoft Office Suite: All library computer stations include the full Microsoft Office Suite, which includes Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Publisher, and Outlook.
- Mathematica: This program is a technical computing system with resources for all areas of technical computing. All library stations have Mathematica installed.
- Mendeley: This bibliographic management program is available on all library computers.
- SPSS: SPSS is a software package for interactive statistical analysis. All library stations have SPSS installed.
Laptops
Fifteen laptops are available for students, faculty, and staff to borrow from the
circulation desk. Laptops are to be used in the library for up to four hours.

- The laptop and its accessories will not be left unattended.
- Any loss or damage to the laptop or accessories will result in replacement fees at the cost of the item and processing fees of $25 per item.
- Patrons must save any files to a personal storage device or online storage site. McKee Library is not responsible for losing any files left on the laptop.
- Patrons must not install, remove, or modify any of the software, hardware, or accessories provided with the laptop.
- Patrons must abide by Southern Adventist University’s internet usage policies.
iPads, Tablets, and Equipment
McKee Library provides the following resources:
- Tablets: Students, faculty, and staff may check out iPads and Microsoft Surface tablets for one week.
- Hand Recorders: Students, faculty, and staff may check out Zoom H1 Handy Recorders from the library for one week.
- Calculators: Students, faculty, and staff may check out TI-30X calculators for one week.
- Headphones: All patrons may check out headphones in exchange for ID while in the library.
- Connectors: Students, faculty, and staff may check out projector connectors for one week.
Virtual Reality Headsets
McKee Library has two virtual reality (VR) headsets available for one week check out.
These headsets are equipped with multiple games, including Beat Saber, YouTube VR,
and Mission: ISS, allowing for an immersive virtual reality experience. More information can be viewed here.
