A Snowy Day at Pinecrest Lake Gallery Media Map

Biology student Sadie Elias and a snowy friend enjoy the crisp mountain air at Pinecrest Lake, a reservoir in the Sierra Nevadas. In the late snows of March over spring break 2024, it makes a beautiful spot for snowshoeing with her mom. Sadie loves the wintry scene, but she can’t wait until that snow run off fills the lake to full again and she finds herself jumping from the cliffs into its chilly clear waters with a “I survived Biology 101 & 102” sticker plastered and already peeling from her water bottle, waiting in the kayak below.
