Marvin Robertson Endowed Concert Series
Founded in 1974 at the request of several men at Southern Missionary College, the Die Meistersinger Male Chorus has created a legacy of quality choral music. Influenced by their first and longest-serving conductor, the beloved “Doc” Marvin Robertson, they have performed sacred and secular pieces to the delight of many audiences. The group has evolved over the years and represents students and alumni from around the United States and across multiple academic disciplines.
Dr. Robertson will return to campus to direct the 50th anniversary Die Meistersinger Male Chorus Reunion held October 26, 2024 at the Collegedale Seventh-day Adventist Church.
In celebration of 50 years of choral music inspired by Dr. Robertson’s leadership, the Die Meistersinger alumni and supporters have initiated the Marvin Robertson Endowed Concert Series to promote quality music performance and education at Southern Adventist University.
