Weather Station
Southern Adventist University Weather Station
This was an initiative of the Student Association, facilitated by The School of Engineering
and Physics (formly the Physics and Engineering Department), mounted by the Grounds
Department, with support from Information Systems.
The sensor array is powered by solarcell-charged batteries, the signal is sent wirelessly
to a controller/monitor panel in Hickman Science Center connected by ethernet to the
network, so our data is added to the network of weather stations communicating via
the internet, allowing more complete current weather tracking and better forecasts.
