In our increasingly secular society, evolution is the reigning scientific paradigm. Evolutionary ideas influence nearly every aspect of our culture. Belief in creation is often dismissed without thoughtful consideration. It is important to understand both evolution and creation and be able to deal with the scientific arguments we encounter.

Origins 101 begins by defining evolution and explaining foundational concepts like natural selection. After laying a simple foundation, the series explains two things that must have happened if evolution is true—abiogenesis (life from non-life) and macroevolution—and looks at the evidence for each. It also presents evidence for design, practices differentiating between data and interpretation, and describes how to deal with unanswered questions.
