WELLkids Summer 2026

Keep Your Kids Active and Exploring This Summer with WELLkids Day Camp!

This summer, give your children the gift of adventure and fresh air with our exciting WELLkids Day Camp at Southern Adventist University.  Led by trained outdoor education professionals, our week-long sessions are designed to get kids outside, moving, and building confidence through hands-on outdoor experiences.

Each day is filled with hands-on activities led by trained outdoor education professionals, with experiences taking place both on the Southern Adventist University campus and on off-campus trips throughout the week.

WELLkids Camp (Ages 8–16)

Activities may include:

  • Archery
  • High Ropes & Climbing Adventures
  • Canoeing & Kayaking
  • River Snorkeling
  • Rafting
  • Caving
  • Hiking
  • Swimming
  • Rock Climbing
  • And many other outdoor challenges!

Please note: Every day is designed to keep campers outside and active. Specific activities are subject to weather conditions, safety requirements, and group needs. Our goal is to keep campers outside, active, and exploring every day.

Camp Details

  • Dates (Monday–Friday):
    • Session 1: June 8–12
    • Session 2: June 15–19
    • Session 3: June 22–26
    • Session 4: June 29–July 3
    • Session 5: July 6–10
    • Session 6: July 13–17 
  • Daily Schedule: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
  • Cost: $330 (community) | $300 (SAU employees & student affiliates)
  • What to Bring:
    • Sack lunch and snacks (no refrigeration available)
    • Reusable water bottle
    • Sunscreen & insect repellent
    • Swimwear and towel
    • Comfortable active clothing and closed-toe shoes
    • Rain jacket or poncho

Registration Steps to Take

  • Once on the Southern.DSERec Class Registration page click the Login Button.
  • Create a Local Account (Community Members & Guests) or a University Account (Southern Adventist University Students/Staff). 
  • Once Logged in click the Drop Down where name is listed and select My Account.
  • Add each child as an Affiliate.  You can also put your Payment Method in as well.
  • Once you have added your child/ren as an affiliate then you will need to click the dropdown menu option where name is listed (top right of screen) and select Act for “Affiliate”.
  • After that there will be some forms/waivers to sign and payment finalization.
